This page is to host stuff that's unfinished, or that I don't consider very good or polished, as well as a few random things that don't work well with the main site. Some of this may get finished eventually, and perhaps this page will serve as an incentive to complete them.
A few of these images are quite large because they are not optimized for my main page. They are in no particular order.
Catherine sleeping, 2004 (jpg, 1217x1641, 384KB)
I drew this when I was thirteen, at night, while my sister slept. Creepy, no? At the time I mostly drew anime fanart, so this was a break from my usual style -- and a pleasant one, I think.
My room, 2003 (jpg, 743x1000, 146KB)
This is a drawing of my room in 2003. You can see what a horrible mess it was. The clock reads 3:39; I'm assuming that's AM, not PM. Most of the mess is my sister's. I've since moved out of that room but I still have the owl, the bear and the tiger. The thing wrapped around the valence is a sort of sparkly light thing, and the thing hanging off it is a windchime, both of which I still have. I've no idea what the books or magazines are (the black, open book might be Go Ask Alice?). I no longer have the lava lamps.
Hands I drew in 2003 (jpg, 1231x1611, 230KB)
I drew these curled up in bed late at night holding various objects and making poses with my hand. (Only my left, because I needed my right to draw.) I don't know why I numbered them. For some reason I drew a muffin; I think I was probably obsessed with MuffinFilms at the time. The thin thing I'm holding is the handle to a jug of milk; the round thing is a lava lamp. Notice my very extremely clever sarcastic remark that a stick hand is the best I've ever drawn. If you look closely you can see the word "suffering" through the page, though I can't read the rest (I was so tormented!) and a poorly-drawn anime person. Why was I so persistent in drawing those?
Jon Stewart (png, 538x576, 30kb)
Made to match my Colbert picture, but I have no MSPaint section on the site. It's kinda sketchy.
Mysterious Destiny Warrior Tank Girl Lisetta (jpg, 1274x1472, 156KB)
Stemming from an inside joke with a friend, the gist of which was that I'm so petite I'd need a tank to seriously harm anyone. I own the shirt, skirt and shoes; the tights are ones I borrow frequently from someone. I do not own a tank or gun. The bird is a kakapo, with a symbol on its forehead as a nod to similar animals in Japanese magical girl animes. The title, long-winded as it is, is also an homage to those. "Lisetta" is the aforementioned friend's nickname for me. Yes, I actually look like that. Kinda.
MSPaint doodle (png, 395x496, 33KB)
This was drawn to be a sort of idealized version of my own appearance. Pity I have no lips!
Peacock WIP (png, 600x360, 203KB)
I got sick of those little feathers very fast. I have the feeling it would be substantially easier with a tablet, so I might pick it up again at some point.
Condor WIP (png, 600x360, 395KB)
Pretty sure I just kind of got bored with this one. I like birds; can you tell? Another one that might be easier with a tablet.
Iorek WIP (png, 600x360, 552KB)
The beginnings of a drawing of Iorek Byrnisson, an ice-bear from the His Dark Materials series. I don't even remember why I didn't finish it. I think I had planned to do one version with armour and one without.
Origami stoat (jpg, 640x480, 116KB)
It's actually a weasel, but they're basically the same thing. You can't see it, but the back split open from overfolding. I still have a lot to learn on this one.
Origami bird(jpg, 640x480, 61KB)
Modified version of a sparrow. Not very good.
